Meredith Ogilvie-Thompson is an award-winning journalist and podcast host based in rural Virginia. Born in New York, she began her career at Time Inc before spending years reporting across Africa — her work has appeared in the Financial Times, The Telegraph, Vogue and Variety, among others.

A committed advocate for local journalism, Meredith also reports for Rappahannock News and the Fauquier Times, two nonprofit-supported newsrooms dedicated to preserving independent reporting. In 2024 she won a Virginia Press Association award for feature writing.
